I think this sleeping position may be pretty common. My son started doing the same thing. He started rolling over around the same time we first got his band and I would go to check on him in the middle of the night and he would be face down. I've tried moving his head and he will just move it back to where he wants it. I think it may be more comfortable for him to sleep that way then on the side of his head with that part of the helmet on his cheek.

Hi everyone- I hope that everyone has as many concerns/questions in the beginning as I do! I put my DS down for a nap- his first one in the band on day 3. I checked in on him and he is face down.....I am just curious if that is because it is his first time or does anyones little one sleep like that all the time? Gosh I hope he doesn't I don't like his face down in the bed like that- I was hoping he would roll onto his side.

Thanks!

My son sleeps like that too. He moves around a lot. It always look like he is face down but his head is usually turned slightly so he can breath. It is hard to tell when they are in bands.
