Guest guest
My friend's daughter has been off again on again sick for the past month. She just started running a fever and when they took her to the hospital, they said she was most likely fighting a non contagious bacterial issue, but her pediatrican said that it could be viral given the time of year. In the event that it is viral, and my daughter gets a fever, what should I do? The helmet is very hot to begin with and I'm terrified that she's going to get severly ill due to the excess heat. Guest guest
I am just guessing here, but I'm wondering if you could put a cool washcloth on her neck and chest if she get s a fever. That might be enough to cool her down. Here's hoping you don't have to find out!Sandy Fever? My friend's daughter has been off again on again sick for the past month. Guest guest
Hi! My son had a fever for a few days. It wasn't high, maybe 101-102 at the highest. Doctors won't talk to you unless its like 103 or so. Anyway, I was told to make sure to keep the helmet off until the fever breaks. Even if it means keeping it off for a few days. You could definitely overheat your child. My son's helmet was off for three days total. Wasn't too happy. But, you know how that goes. Also, Dylan is normally sweaty in the helmet too. I did learn a trick if your child is throwing up with a fever. They have suppositories with ibprofen in them at cvs. My son couldn't keep anything down and it was a life saver. Hope that helps! Guest guest
We had a DOCband here and were told to absolutely remove the band if my son got a fever. Infact, he had a fever right before the fitting appt and we pushed it back a few days until he was better. mom to Aidan, DOCband grad 10/07 > From: nbutler2008 <nbutler2008@...> > Subject: Fever? > Plagiocephaly > Date: Tuesday, July 29, 2008, 9:45 PM > My friend's daughter has been off again on again sick > for the past > month.
