This is an update on Maysa's progress in her helmet from Eastern

Cranial Affiliates. For those of you who are new, Maysa has a

combination of plagio and brachycephaly. We had an appointment this

morning after 4 weeks in the helmet and 5 weeks from her original

scan. As I suspected, she has been improving. Here are some numbers

to compare:

Cephalic Index:(went down 3.4%)

- 6/26: 100%

- 8/01: 96.6%

Diagonal Asymmetry:(went down 3.71mm)

- 6/26: 7mm

- 8/01: 3.29mm

Length: (grew back 6mm)

- 6/26: 143mm

- 8/01: 149mm

Her ear to eye asymmetry is still 2mm which is barely noticeable but

I am still hoping. She still has a long way to go, but it feels so

good to finally see her progress through this. Her next " short "

appointment is in two weeks and her third rescan in a month.

Also, her torticollis is now resolved. What a great day...

Just thought I'd share,

Leila

Hi Leila,

I'm glad to hear that Maysa is doing well. I hope you'll see good

progress on the brachy since the plagio is pretty much under control

now. Please keep us posted.

Congratulations! Those numbers are GREAT! My son had the same --

brachy (around 91%) and plagio (8 mm). I was told that the brachy

would be the hardest to correct but it improved dramatically. I

don't his final number but his head is rounded out beautifully now.

Best of luck! Sounds like Maysa's really on the right track!

p.s. I just looked at Maysa's CT pics that you posted. They look

EXACTLY like my son's when we started. It's amazing. If I had a

scanner I would post it.
