Hi Folks, Am currently taking up to 1mg of Klonopin daily. Was told I need to get off the Klonopin before starting LDN. Anyone else here have any experience with Klonopin & LDN? Any suggestions about weaning off the Klonopin. Thanks,Janet

Why would you need to be off Klonopin before starting LDN? I take

Klonopin and LDN and don't have any problems at all.

Hi Janet,

I was diagnosed with lupus (SLE) in 1992. I started taking LDN (1 mg.)

in April 2006. After about 6 weeks, all lupus symptoms were gone and

have not returned. Due to an unusually prolonged stressful series of

events, I began to have panic attacks. I was taking .5 mg. Klonopin

twice daily until last autumn. My doctor recommended that I try

supplements from a company called Sanesco. After sending in my lab

work to Sanesco, they sent me an analysis of my neurotransmitters

functions and recommended which supplements and what dosages to

balance my neurotransmitters. After 2 weeks on the supplements, I

didn't feel like I needed the Klonopin and tapered off of it. I was

glad to find a natural alternative to the drug. My doctor didn't

recommend that I stop taking LDN while I was also taking Klonopin or

the Sanesco supplements. They didn't seem to interfere with each

other. You might want to check out the Sanesco web

site(www.sanesco.net) and click on the Consumer Info link. It's a good

idea to coordinate all this with your doctor.

Revis, Thanks for the info on Sanesco. I've been on Klonopin for about 5 years now. Still searching others reactions to LDN & Klonopin before I make a final decision.Janetrevisann <revis@...> wrote: > > Hi Folks, > > Am currently taking up to 1mg of Klonopin daily. Was told I

Hi Sharon, Was told they might not work well together. How much Klonopin do you take & for how long? I've been on up to 1 mg a day for atleast 5 years now and know I am dependent on it. Really don't want to stop taking it. Was hoping to try to stop later after on LDN for a while. Thanks,JanetSharon <wobbletowalk@...> wrote: Why would you need to be off Klonopin before starting LDN? Here is the problem with no clinical studies. The full dose naltrexone drug info lists klonopin as contraindicated with naltrexone. So we can't really say, and being conservative, I recommend against it. Until new data is produced, I can't feel good about oking it.
