Guest guest
We were first referred to a neurosurgeon who ordered a CT scan to rule out cranio. Once cranio was ruled out, he said my son wouldn't need a helmet and sent us on our way. A year later, I decided to go to a craniofacial surgeon for another opinion and he wrote the script for the band. My son does have some plagio caused by inutero constriction, he has a dent/slope on the left side above his forehead. But the rest of it was caused by the torticollis he had. The cranial surgeon saw us for a 3 month follow up a few weeks back and said that the dent part of the plagio was " just the way he was born " and it may or may not round out as he gets older. It has not changed since he started wearing the band 4 months ago, and the therapist at CT also said that it won't be corrected by the band, but may round out as he gets older and the skull becomes thicker. Which CT do you go to? I'm having a hard time understanding what kind of movement you are referring to. Do you mean something different from her head rounding out from the band? Guest guest
, We're using the CT in Paramus NJ. They have been fantastic! We went today - 2 weeks in and already see improvement! I know I've read that it's possible, I just can't believe it with my own eyes! The movement I'm talking about is her back " triangle " plate, where the three are meeting. There is a more prominant " ridge " forming an upward arrow. I don't know the medical terms for all of it. Guess we'll have to wait for our cranialfacial appt.
