Guest guest
With our insurance we had to see a specialist before we could get a prescription for the band. We were referred to a plastic surgeon who wrote the prescription and also ordered a CT scan to rule out cranio. Molly Novato, California Nicolas, 2.5, tort & plagio, STARband (CIRS Oakland) 4/24/06-9/12/06, Graduate! , 5 , 8.5 Anyone using a special Doctor? ie. Cranial facial? My daughter is 5 1/2 months old. She is scaphy/in utero. She has a DOC band and it will be two weeks tomorrow. We have had a 3d cat scan to make sure she's not fused and the neurosurgeon was not much help after that. Her head is quite misshapen. At her casting, the clinic lady, don't remember their title was feeling 's head and asked if she had been seen by a doctor, she had never felt another head like hers. Last week I had her feel her head again. I had felt some changes before the band had gone on. She agreed that things have moved. Not that this is a bad thing, just movement. So, we have an appointment with a cranial facial doctor for June 17th. So why am I blathering on? Does anyone else have in utero plagio? Severe plagio being followed by a specialist? And what kind of specialist? 5 1/2 months old almost 2 weeks in DOC band ------------------------------------ For more plagio info

Guest guest
My daughter sees a craniofacial doc at Seattle Children's Hospital. She has congenital plagio and is closely followed for possible early fusion. Our cranio doc works closely with plastic surgeons.Good luck finding some answers. Guest guest
My dd's plagio was caused in utero. We did see a craniofacial team. Is the dr you are seeing a genetisist? If there are any genetic things going on, that can be a help. Let us know what the drs say!
