Guest guest
My daughter was 5 mo old when she got her band, and started sitting up 2 wks later. She was big and strong and her band didn't slow her down at all. Also she wore a starband which is a few ounces heavier than a docband. We switched her to a convertible carseat just before getting her band because she was getting too long for her infant carrier. She was much more comfortable after we switched her. She was crying a lot in the car, and I thought she didn't like the car, but it improved drastically when we got a new carseat. -christine sydney 2.5 yrs starband grad > > Do any of you feel that your babies who have started wearing bands > prior to sitting up on thier own have had a harder time with getting to > that milestone because of the band? > > is still in the carrier/carseat but getting to a weight (she's > 4mos and 16lbs now) that I was thing of switching to her regular > carseat. Guest guest
I do feel that it is harder for my baby to sit up and roll over with the Doc band. It looks like it weighs his head down a bit. He looks down at the ground more. When I take it off for a short time he rolls more and pushes up better with out it on. I know that they say it only weighs 8 oz or so but that is alot for a 15 pound baby! The PT at CT did say that there could be a slight development delay with the band. How do you keep your baby cool with ice packs? We were never told this at CT and it has been quite hot in San Diego lately! (zach 6 months and 1 month in DOC band) > > > > Do any of you feel that your babies who have started wearing bands > > prior to sitting up on thier own have had a harder time with getting to > > that milestone because of the band? > > > > is still in the carrier/carseat but getting to a weight (she's > > 4mos and 16lbs now) that I was thing of switching to her regular > > carseat.
