I will second what noted. My husband and I also take our daughter to (CPMG) children's primary care medical group in Encinitas, CA. Our doctor is Dr. Mendenhall (who is wonderful), and our neighbor's is Dr. Neglia (of which we have heard nothing but good stories/patient care). Dr. Mendenhall was very proactive in advising us to reposition and with giving us a prescription when the repositioning was not working. I agree with the advice to be proactive and get your baby the care you feel he needs. Our daughter turns 7 months old this week. She has been in her DOC band from Cranial Technologies for exactly 6 weeks and we have experienced great results. In fact, our daughter's head is rounding out so well, that CT indicated at her last appt that she only needs 4-5 more weeks in it!

Good luck to you and your son in finding the care you see fit. It was a tough road for us in accepting and deciding the right course of action for our daughter, and that was with a very supportive pediatrician, insurance covering 80% right off the bat and having CT nearly in our back yard. I'm sorry you have even further obstacles to deal with. Hang in there.
