Guest guest
I don't think you necessarily need to cut your daughter's hair. My son had a ton of hair when he wore his band. When I put his band back on after his hour off I would comb as much of it as I could up to the top of his head and clip it with hair clips. After I put the band back on I took the clips out and the hair just fell out the top of the band. You can see his pictures in the " Our Plagio Babies N " folder under " Nicolas in his 2nd STARband " : http://health.ph./group/Plagiocephaly/photos/view/6e11?b=21 We did end up cutting the sides of his hair a bit only because it looked obnoxious hanging out the side of the band. Yes, it looked goofy when his band was off but I figured it was better to have him looking good during his 23 hours with the band on than during the 1 hour with the band off :>) Molly Novato, California Nicolas, 2.5, tort & plagio, STARband (CIRS Oakland) 4/24/06-9/12/06, Graduate! , 5.5 , 8.5 haircut? Hi all, We are starting our second week in our Hanger band. We had some issues with a knot above her ear (thanks to all who responded about that) but we just got back from an adjustment. My dtr has A LOT of hair so it makes it hard to see and keep track of any redness. Unless I slick it over before we put the helmet on her bangs stick out above her eyes. She gets so sweaty that her hair is soaked every time we take it off. And of course, getting it on and off we always seem to be pulling her hair. Do you think I should get her hair cut? I love her hair but if she will be more comfortable I am definitely willing to shorten it up a good bit! Thanks for your advice! Guest guest
It definitely isn't necessary. Many babies have worn bands with longer hair. We did chose to cut my daughters to help with sweating and hair pulling. Angie haircut? Hi all,We are starting our second week in our Hanger band. Guest guest
We decided to cut our daughter's hair because at 9mo it was down to her shoulders and very thick. We live in Florida and with it being so hot we wanted her to be as comfortable as possible. It was definitely a hard thing to do! I still miss her hair but I don't regret cutting it:) It'll always grow back! Jackie Mom to Marlee (2 weeks until graduation!)
