Guest guest
Becky, When all of this happened and I started looking at all the possible scenarios, I did consider switching to another band if they didn't make a new one for her free of charge. However, they never gave me a hard time about it. They said that she'll get a new one. They also inspected the broken one and it still fits just right. That's why they said that it was OK to keep it on while the other one was being made. I have an appointment on Monday the 18th with her ortho and bandmaker to talk things out a little more. Also, at the time of her first scanning (after 4 weeks of wear) she had already improved. Her assymetry went down to 3.29 mm (she started at 7mm) and her brachy improved by 3.4%. We are seeing improvements and I do like her ortho. So, so far so good. I am committed to this all the way though, meaning that when she outgrows her helmet, if there is still room for improvement, I will go for a second one. Maybe this provider, maybe another, I don't know, but I know I'll do everything I can to get her within normal range. Thanks for replying to my post. I have honestly never heard of a part of a band breaking off. I have been on this board for over 4 years, so that's a new one on me. Are you sure you are ok with letting her wear the broken band for the time it takes them to make a new one? And I wonder if you are considering switching band providers because of what happened with this band? Again, I am so sorry you are having this trouble. Please let us know how things work out.Becky, repo moderator, repo grad>> Hi all,> > I was in tears this past Saturday and have been so stressed out over > the little sideburn that broke off of Maysa's helmet...> > On Friday, we went in for an adjustment because her helmet was > starting to slide down her face again a little and the foamy pad on > her left sideburn was starting to come off.
