Yesterday my husband took our son for the first follow-up (4 wks

w/Dr @ Vandy). He commented about the improvement. They

pulled out a spot in the back for his head to come on out.

The helmet was still hitting the back of the right ear. They added

another piece to the lining to try and change the fit. Last night

he had a few red bumps on that cheek. We'll see if they are still

there today.

A lady at church said they've had babies in helmets at her

daycare. She talked about taking them off during the day. I'm

starting to think I might need to do that with our son. I didn't

want to bother the workers with it. As it gets hotter, I'll

probably need to.

I noticed something yesterday...where our sons bossing has reduced,

the skin is loose. It's kinda funny to me. It's nothing you can

see. I could feel it when I kissed his head...something I do a lot

when his helmet is off.

Sun we went to a HG rally where a man told me his granddaughter had

a helmet. He said the helmet was so big it could have fit him. His

granddaughter was miserable in it. He asked his pastor to pray for

her and the parents threw away the helmet. He said " she has a flat

head, but she doesn't have any of those problems that the doctors

said she would. " I said that just to tell new parents...go with

what you feel is best for your child.

The best to everyone during this " bump in the road. "
