Guest guest
Welcome to the group and the best of luck with your insurance battle. I have UHC and just sent in my first appeal. I was originally denied, so my husband and I paid for the band out of pocket. Spencer (he is also a twin) was 5 1/2 months when he got his DOC band. I think the best advice I can give you is to if you can, pay for the band out of pocket and appeal your insurance company for reimbursement. The one other thing that I would recommend is to make sure that you know your insurance policy. Use the wording against them. This is the best way to win on an appeal. By the way, why were you denied? Lorie Mom to Spencer and Alizabeth 14 months Spencer- Left Plagio- DOC Band GRAD 9/07-12/07 Glendale, AZ [sPAM] New Here and need advice on fighting insurance. Hello to all. My twins are almost 6 months old and like many were denied by the insurance to cover the helmets. My husband is in the Army and it is so discouraging that he can serve our country yet my children are not being taken care of. I know there are probably many of you who have experienced this situation. Any advice would be wonderful when attacking this head on.
