Guest guest
Hello to all. My twins are almost 6 months old and like many were denied by the insurance to cover the helmets. My husband is in the Army and it is so discouraging that he can serve our country yet my children are not being taken care of. I know there are probably many of you who have experienced this situation. Any advice would be wonderful when attacking this head on. Guest guest
I don't know who the military provider is, but we were able to successfully get United Health Care (UHC) to reimburse 80% of the helmet... in fact, we just got our check this week. Yay! We only submitted the claim once, but it was approved right away. I think it helped that we had a ton of paperwork and info. from the Plastic Surgeon that we submitted with the claim forms. Guest guest
I'm sorry, I can't help you with your specific insurance (is it Tricare?). I haven't heard any success stories with the military as far as getting the insurance coverage for the helmets. But I have heard of grants that the armed services can provide and other plagio moms have had success there. Check out our links section for all the websites: Plagiocephaly/links/Military_fam ilies_001147840595/ Hopefully you'll have luck there. Sorry I can't be of more help. Good luck! > > Hello to all.
