I have just finished reading Dr Lawrence's excellent 19 page synopsis of LDN both in the treatment of MS, his specialty, as well as many other immune disorders.

I noticed that he recommends Calcium carbonate as the filler. It was my understanding that Avicel is the best filler and wonder about its comparison in release to the Ca carbonate.

From what I understand, Calcium Carbonate should not be used as the filler with LDN as opposed to can not be used. It has to do with the CC being packed too tightly causing the LDN to release slowly. (Skip, correct me if I'm wrong.) CC can be used, it just may not work the way it was intended, so it's preferable to use one of the other quick-release fillers. I have a clear understanding on the filler issue from Skip's perspective.

Perhaps it might be an idea if Skip contacted Dr Lawrence to discuss why Lawrence recommends Ca carbonate as a filler. I wonder if his many patients are getting as much of a benefit as those here with Avicel as the filler.

Another thing I spotted that Dr Lawrence discussed was a liquid version of LDN with simple syrup as the filler/suspension agent.. Lawrence seems to think that this is better than a distilled water suspension.

Wish I could be at the film festival and cheer you on!

That's what I said...it SHOULD NOT be used. You said it CANNOT be used, but it can...it just may not work due to causing it to release slowly. Am I understanding this correctly? I ask because this is what I tell anyone who asks me. I really did not find it hard to understand. I use Skip to get my LDN, so I know that mine is mixed with an appropriate filler. or coral calcium as supplements?

Calcium orotate is great for the bones and the oligodendrocytes. Try to get Dr. Neiper's from Germany. They are the best. Coral calcium is not absorbed in the body and is not why these people live such a long life. it is the diet that is the probable cause. Best, Kathy
