Sjogren's disease

Hi all,

I have never come across any specific link between AIH and Sjogren's disease

and my doctor said the same. For a time, my doctor thought I was developing

Sjogren's and all he said was that the presence of one autoimmune illness

made it more likely that I either had or would develop other autoimmune

disorders. The link between these different disorders is the fact that they

are all autoimmune in nature.

The problem lies in our immune system. I know my doctors keep saying that

lupus and AIH don't go together. They have also said that celiac and lupus

don't go together. My own line of thinking on this is that they have merely

classified symptoms so that they can call it something....I have an immune

system illness and my body is subjected to onslaught in various locations.

When it is in my liver they call it AIH, when it is in my lungs they call it

lupus, etc, etc. I find it easier to think about one problem rather than

consider myself as having 5 different autoimmune illnesses.

Folks,

I remember reading 20 years ago in Judy Graham's book about Evening

Primrose Oil how it helps arthritis, MS and Sjogrens, among others.

It has really been the saving grace for me through the years of

a " healthy denial " . Now, I am reading about celiac disease,

thinking that might be what I have, only to find out that Evening

Primrose is quite helpful for that. I strted LDN a year ago (I have

a MS dx) hopong it would help the cognitive difficulties. One thing

I do think it has helped with is that I have dropped 15 lbs

(quickly) since starting the gluten free diet. My input is:

Research Evening Primrose Oil with your LDN. Make that body

happier! MAG

Hear hear. I started taking EPO years back for my hormonal imbalance,

but it has helped all sorts, even bought my B/P under control. I am so

glad I could carry on taking it with LDN.
