Guest guest
There is a saying " We do not remember days, we remember moments. " (by C. Pavese) and these are milestone moments for our children. Hang in there and keep us posted on the appointment. As for us, we go to the STAR Cranial Center in Columbia, MD and can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. Currently, we are in our 11th week of our 8 month old son, Gavin, wearing his camo helmet and we might only have 2-3 more to go. The entire process has been painless and easy for our son and for us (despite the insurance claim denial for the whopping $3000 bill). Gavin took to the helmet like a champ from day one. The key is finding what works for your child and sticking to it. For instance, long, hot car rides for us in this MD summer were an issue so we would remove the helmet for short car rides. We would make sure the car was nice and cool before putting him in his car seat for longer car rides. You will find what works best for your child and for you...we're all here for you waiting and wishing and hoping things go great.
