Guest guest
4.1 is very mild. My daughter started at 4.5 and ended at 3.5 but she had brachy (flat in back) which is why we banded. My daughter's cranial ratio was about 97%, normal is about 78%. Do you know your daughter's? I'm just wondering why people think she needs a band if she's only 4.1. Maybe if she has brachy too it would be more reason to band. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > My daughter is now 7.5 months old by birth (6 weeks preemie, > adjusted age is 6 months). Guest guest
If you think there is a possibility with your daughter resenting you for not correcting it, than, absolutely do it. But also be into it 110%. It does require a little maintenance, that just becomes part of the routine. We don't have any issues about our DOC band, actually were in the process for our second. She's been in it for 7 weeks now. Good luck! 6 1/2 months scaphy DOC band 7 weeks
Guest guest
It does sound like a mild measurement but you have to do what you feel is best. Most babies adjust really quickly to the band and assuming there are decent holding points (meaning her asymmetry is bad enough for the helmet to grab hold and assert the mild pressure necessary to change the head shape) it will only benefit her in the end. Good luck with your decision! Jake-22m (tort resolved/rt plagio/DOCBand #2 5 weeks) Jordan-4 > > My daughter is now 7.5 months old by birth (6 weeks preemie, > adjusted age is 6 months).
