NOPCO - another week of progress.

My son just went back for another check up after 2 weeks. Another 2%

improvement in the cranial index.

They had to remove a layer out of the back of his band (he is brachy)

and the flatness that was once on one side hasn't been noticeable for

weeks.

The removal of the layer from the back means his head is growing BACK

instead of widening.

He is now at 92% down from an original 99%

His is steadily improving 2-3% per week. At this rate, he will be out

of the band in another 4-6 weeks (they look to get it down to the

80's). As per my previous posts. We were fitted at Children's in

Boston and go for checkups at their Braintree site. Our doc at

Children's is Dr .

Hope this helps anyone who is pondering NOPCO vs the long drive to CT.

As per many other regional discussions...while I'm sure DOC bands are

great as there are many success stories on the website, nobody should

be discouraged from at least considering the use of locally available

resources. There are probably AS many successes from those as well.

Gas prices are outrageous...shop locally :-)
