Guest guest
I say if you are happy with his current headshape then be done. If you want more than go for a second. I asked myself if I would be happy with my daughter's current headsape after 12 weeks of banding. For us the answer was yes. So we didn't do a second band. Good luck with your decision. Angie Don't really know what to do, HELP! my son has had great improvment in his hanger band, that he has had for 2 months now. My question is.... My sons measurments were 12mm when he started and now they are 5mm. But now since his head is growing so much and getting bigger since he is getting bigger his helmet is shaved all the way down as much as possable, but its still making really bad red marks on his forehead and on one side of his head by his eye.His orthro just told me that if it keeps making red marks that won't go away, that we need to buy a new helmet. Im fine with the way his head shape is now, its not perfect but it's not bad either. I dont know if I should buy the new helmet or if I should just keep him out of a helmet since im fine with the way his head looks. I dont know what to do! Has anyone had trouble with sores that look like pressure sores almost from the Helmets? What are bad sores (red marks) and which ones should I not be so dramatic about? PLEASE HELP ANyONE! Guest guest
If his head is getting too big for the band you do not want him to keep wearing it. It can cause it to become mishapped. My dd's head got a ring around the top where the opening is because she had a growth spurt while we were on vacation and away from the ortho! If the redness is not fading then you don;t want to wear the band because the skin can breakdown. OUCH!!! What does the ortho say about continued wear???
