Guest guest
My son is on his 6th day in his starband and today I noticed a red spot on the back of his head from the helmet. It dissapeared quickly but he has brachiocephaly and his head is flat in the back. I know the band is hollow back there so I assume this means that there is not enough room in that area.It is in the exact area where it needs to pop out. My ortho will not be back in till morning so I was wondering when you have fit issues do you just remove the helmet or wait until the ortho looks at it? Should there be any marks on their head in the back even after they wake up from sleeping? I assumed that even in sleep there would be no pressure there. Guest guest
My daughter had brachy and got red on the sides above her ears where the band held her width. She also got red on the forehead when she had significant growth. I wouldn't think the back would be red unless it is down by the neck (maybe holding there. If it is really irritated keep the band off. It it fades within an hour and isn't getting worse you can probably leave it on. -christine sydney 2.5 yrs starband grad > > My son is on his 6th day in his starband and today I noticed a red > spot on the back of his head from the helmet.
