Can you kindly provide information about the status of

migrant farmworker health in the state of Georgia? Thanks. - Soo

FYI

I am Ashlyn

Pinion an NSG 481 Health Policy nursing student. My Health Policy group and I

are writing a two page paper about the status of migrant farmworker health in

the state of Georgia. The paper must focus on policies/laws that are

implemented in the state and what research is available on this population. I

understand you must have a very busy schedule but I would greatly appreciate

your assistance. Thank you for your time.

Thank you again,

Ashlyn Pinion

Migrant health services are administered through the Office of

Rural Health in Georgia. You might contact Tony Brown, the Director of

that office (Katrice Brown was the Director of the Georgia Farmworker Health

Program and Healthcare for the Homeless Program, but she is no longer there,

and I don’t have the name of the new Director). Tony Brown’s email

is: tbrown@...

You might also contact Tom Himelick at Emory University who runs

a summer migrant clinic with the help of PA students. His email is tehimel@...
