Hi pg0803,

I'm sure you will get responses that Ensure is used by many people after an

episode of pancreatitis, I would also suggest that your wife try to decide what

she might like in the high carbohydrate area. Baked potatoe, pasta, toast,

rice, etc. These are what work well for me. Also, I advise being well hydrated,

at least 64 ounces of water daily along with whatever other liquids she might

like. Like tea or coffee (decaffeinated), juice, etc. Hope you both have had a

good day

Best wishes, Poncho - GA

Hi,

When I was in the hospital with my panc attack they gave me BOOST juice. It

really tastes good and also is suppose to be like Ensure. Since your wife is

not able to eat I don't think slimfast would be good nourishment. It is

usually for weight loss. The doctor office I work at gives Boost Breeze to

patients. See if you can may contact the company and see if they can send you a

free

trial or coupons. I hope your wife is feeling better soon.

Yes, it is but from what I understand the fat is for weight gain, and it is

supposed pre-digested or easy to digest. I have had I several times with a bad

attack and have not had any problems. But than again that is just me.
