We didn't really have any problem with rotation when my daughter had her band.If the irritation is okay (redness fades) it is probably alright. Over time make sure you are seeing correction too (another indicator that the band is working). After 1 or 2 weeks I would think the rotation should be a lot less since the head should be growing enough by that time.
