Guest guest
I'm so sorry to hear this. Do you have any other banding options (depending where you live or ability to travel)? I would contact Hanger's corporate office, show them pictures and tell them your story. If you do need to travel you could look into Angelflights - they provide free flights for medical treatment. If you can go to another provider I would push Hanger to refund your money. I'm sorry they can't help with the 5 weeks of time and stress you've already had. Hopefully someone in Hanger's corporate office can help resolve the issues. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > Hi everyone, > Here is my story. > My son got his Hanger Band 5 weeks ago. Guest guest
I am so sorry – I know exactly how you feel. I had a local band first and I had EXACTLY the same experience. It was so frustrating and I was driving 1 ½ hours each way. 3 weeks into the helmet I had to ask for a new one... It was incredibly frustrating. I hate to tell you this, but my advice is to find a different band provider or at least a different orthotist if there is one available that is anywhere within a few hours…. All the trouble you are having is a sign that there are better orthotists out there. After 3 months I ended up switching to a DOC Band and I couldn’t be happier with the decision – it fit properly from day one and that was such a relief and such a contrast to my first experience. Hang in there, you are trying to do the best for your son and I am sure you will get it worked out!!
