Guest guest
Very nice nne!! Is this for a store in Indiana? Hugz Shaye Photos posted Hey, everyone! I just uploaded two photos to our Web site ... one is of the bath salt tubes that I did for my hometown visitors' center in Columbus, IN ... the other is of the lotion bottles that I made for them. I'm calling it my " Hoosier Heartland " collection, and I'm trying to come up with Indiana-related names (I scented the lotions with cotton blossom fragrance and called them " Midwest Breeze, " and the bath salts are rise and shine-scented with the name " Indiana Sunrise " ). I have 20 more soaps to make for them, and then I'll be done with that order. Whew! The soaps will be clear with a blue state of Indiana embedded inside. And they'll be peony scented (Indiana's state flower). The labels are relatively the same design but with some different wording. ~nne in Albany Our Message Board http://www.voy.com/21568/ Check out these great Molds!! http://soapwerks.com/martinworld.htm ~~~~ NEW YORK SUPPLIERS ~~~~ Member Kae's Site... Guest guest
Shaye, My hometown (Columbus, IN) has a Visitors' Center ... and inside is a store that sells Indiana and Columbus-related products. The owner of the Visitors' Center contacted me to see if I might want to sell my soaps in her store. So that's why I'm trying to come up with Indiana-themed ideas. ~nne

Guest guest
Thanks ! I feel great too. My daily meal plan is not very exciting-- Breakfast: Protein Shake I use 100% Whey protein from WalMart. Some days I get crazy and throw in a bananna. I eat breakfast ab out 6 a.m. I start drinking water at 8 a.m. (IAW " the rules " ). My goal is to drink 48 oz of water before lunch. Lunch: Lean Cuisine, soup of the day, maybe a cheese stick, or a protein shake I eat lunch around 2 (I'm satisfied from breakfast until then). I don't eat all of the above together but one of these + a cheese stick (9 g of protein) keep me full. At 4:30 I start drinking water again -- another 48 oz before dinner. Dinner: I usually grab a cheese stick when I walk in the door, Then for dinner I have whatever I fix for the family e.g., chicken, steak, spaghetti, etc. I can only eat a few bites and I have to stay within my caloric bank account (see #4 below). Or sometimes I'll have another protein shake or one of those protein test tubes with 42g of protein before dinner. What I don't eat: pizza, any bread, and Jenni has scared me off from even trying an egg. Dessert: ice cream or a popsicle. I found this great Breyer's chocolate fudge brownie ice cream. It's sugarless and has only 90 calories per half cup. Best of all it is delicious. What has contributed to my success: 1. Posting to this board. The progress of others and their experiences encourages me. The support I find here is awesome. I don't feel alone and it helps me to break my cycle of negative self- talk by realizing that others may have the same problems/difficulties as me. 2. A phenomenal fill doctor -- Brinkley in Frederick, MD. I drive over an hour to see her but it is worth it. She is a bandster herself and even got her band in Mexico. She fills aggressively but that is what I want and need I am not too full and I seldom PB. When I do it is always my fault from testing the band. 3. Exercise EVERY Day -- NO EXCEPTIONS. That means at least 30 minutes a day; it doesn't have to be all at once e.g., 3 10 minutes sessions, 5 6minute sessions, etc. I started taking Tae Kwon Do in January. I go 3x per week and it is a great exercise program (as good if not better than an aerobics class). On my off days I walk on my tread mill or outside for 30 minutes. I took this idea from " You: On a Diet " so it's not original but I highly recommend it. I learned a lot and it's not just about weight loss it's about being a healthy person. 4. Counting Calories -- Since January I am very disciplined with how much I eat. I count EVERY single calorie that goes into my mouth -- even TASTES. If I did not do this I would be drinking milkshakes, and eating ice cream all the time and wondering why I was not losing weight. My goal is to stay in the 800-1000 calorie zone (like the rules say) but if I go to 1200 on a certain day that's OK too. On Saturdays if I'm satisfied with my weight loss for that week, I allow myself to have a special treat -- anything that I want and I don't count it. I have even written things down that I want from Tuesday and gone back to have it on Saturday. Is it silly? Maybe, but it works for me. I've had hot fudge cake, bread pudding with ice cream, and ice cream sundaes -- whatever my heart desires. When I first got my band I expected that I would have to do nothing and the weight would magically fall off my body. Well, I lost about 20 lbs that way but no more. It took me until January to realize that I needed to get off of my fanny and make this happen. My band and the fill level (I have 2.5 cc in my 4.00 band) are paving the way for my success but I am piloting the ship. You simply asked what I ate but it's so much more than that for me. I hope this is helpful.

Guest guest
, thanks so much for such a comprehensive response. You are so " on point " for all that it takes to lose weight, work with the band, exercise, count everything that goes in. I have used the fitday.com website and was actually astonished that I was consuming so many carbs, even though the calories were around 1,000 per day. It isn't so much how much you eat--but WHAT you eat! The exercise is also critical. I am still trying to work on that given my knee injury--which today was really, really difficult--cool and rainy--YUK! I am printing out your email so that I can keep it and read it from time to time to keep me motivated. You are so correct that without this group, I'm not so sure that I could succeed at this. Thank you again, for the good advise.
