Hi!

We had our son's DOCBand adjusted yesterday at his weekly

appointment... and last night, he slept HORRIBLY!

He kept waking up and shaking his head and ONLY did this while sleeping.

So today, I took him to pediatrician to find out if it's an ear

infection and it's not. He did have wax but no outer nor middle ear

infection.

Have any other parents experienced this?

I now think that it may have been the adjustment done by an ortho NEW

to his case. =(

If you figure it out, please let us know - our daughter hasn't slept more than 2 hours at a time without waking up doing the same thing. She grabs at the back of the band like it itches, but nothing seems to help.Sleepy in Chicago,Sandymom to Lyla - 7 months - 24 days in Doc Bandand Owen 4 HELP! My daught has had such experience. When she shake her head and wake up,I

take off the helmet and find there is too much sweat. The helmet is wet!

She is too hot and itchi. As soon as I turn on the air conditioner, she

will calm down and go on sleep.Sometime even you feel cool, it is still

a little hot for a helmet baby.

Hi Melinda - My son started doing the same thing around 6 mos. He is now 9 mos, and he still does it. I saw a little girl around the same age at the store the other day and she was doing it too. I think it is just something they go through, because Gunnar thinks it is funny and does it to make my daughter laugh. The reason I know this is because he starts laughing right after he does it. It is scary sometimes though because he does it really fast...I'm scared he will hurt himself. I'm curious about what the rest of the crew will say. Hope this helps!

My son shakes his head during sleep as well. He did it with the band and also without. He now has started to mimic me when I say no and shake my head, he shakes his head in return. I think it is all normal behavior and the kids will be kids no matter how we worry about this silly stuff. Good luck. Tammy
