Guest guest
I don't think I've ever seen a StarBand that didn't have the full coverage look. I think the openness of the DOCBand aids in allowing more heat to escape from the top of the head and makes the band less cumbersome. The " peninsulas " (great word for them) or caps of the DOCBand are placed strategically depending on the shape of the head. If the baby has right plagio, the caps will be on the right side, and vice versa for left plagio. Some have 2 caps and some have 3. Brachy and scapho DocBands will look different. That's my answer from a DOCBand perspective. Hopefully someone can answer your question from the STARBand side of things. I would definitely be interested to see some photos of a STARBand that has a wider opening on top, just for my own reference. Do they have any posted on a website you can share?
