Hi! I don't know exactly what kind of information you're looking for, but Tricare generally does NOT cover the cost of bands/helmets. I believe that they consider the treatment cosmetic. When our daughter was diagnosed, our pediatrician told us upfront that Tricare wouldn't pay for the band, and then when we went to Cranial Tech for our evaluation, they told us the same thing. We went ahead and submitted the paperwork anyways, and received a call from CT saying that Tricare had denied our request. Hubby and I decided to go ahead and band anyway and paid up front for the band. I never filed our appeal, but I have heard of people on their 4th and 5th appeals. I don't want to sound negative or discouraging, but just wanted to let you know the facts. I know some people have suggested trying to find agencies on post to pay for the treatment, but I'm not very knowledgable on that. You could do a search in the messages archives for Tricare and see what pops up. I hope this information helps a little bit. Good luck!
