Guest guest
My ortho showed me the pencil thing too, but in a totally different context. We had holes in back, and I was worried that if her head grew too much and pushed against the holes it would make bumps on her head. Our ortho was like " well, believe me it won't grow that much, let me show you how much room is there " and he stuck a pencil in to demonstrate there was lots of room. He only did it once, and it wasn't any type of measurement. What did your ortho use to measure the diagonal, calipers, starscanner...? He does look somewhat better to me in the 4 week pic too. I would definitely ask the ortho why the measurements are changing by the same amount. At least that should clue them in that either there is no progress (which if the head is growing would be bad),or that the measurement it bad and they need to redo it. -christine sydney 2 yrs starband grad > > > > > > > > > > > > > > When I was in my 7th month my son dropped and I suffered > > from > > > > > > > pressure pains all day everyday till the first day of my > > 38th > > > > > week. Guest guest
funny thing, , when the helmet was too tight his head would have bumps when i took it off! lol! They fixed that. He used calipers to measure the cross/diagonal...idk. he just didn't tell me the difference in measurements. I can ask about that at the next appt. next week i think when i asked him why the cross measurements weren't showing progress when it looked clear to me that there has been progress he said it was hard to hit the same spot on 's head every time so it would possibly be...er something about a margin of error. I didn't get the impression that he was used to parents asking exact or pointed (not aggressive, but direct) questions. He was nice but clumsy in answering. What a mess! I'm thinking about talking to our pediatrician about it. He's pretty in touch with just about everything. Awesome doctor. Maybe he could either calm my nerves or suggest something else before it's too late. Thanks a bunch! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > When I was in my 7th month my son dropped and I suffered > > > from > > > > > > > > pressure pains all day everyday till the first day of my > > > 38th > > > > > > week.
