Guest guest
My son was scanned for his Hanger band on March 18th. We did not receive the band until April 7th. I believe that there is a 14 day requirement between scanning and fitting so it was destined to fail before we ever even started (BTW I didn't realize this at the time). On top of that, the very first adjustments were made by the intern. This hapened behind closed doors and I wasn't told until later. After 5 appointments in two weeks, they agreed to replace the bad band. This time the turn around was 5 days. It didn't come with earholes because our orthotist wanted to " do it right " . The second band was super tight. My husband and I both struggled to get it on. After one adjustment on band #2, we were back to our original problem, shifting across face and bending ear. At that point we just decided that we were done and never went back. We interviewed and ortho who did StarBands and also went to CT. Since we already had one bad experience we decided we would be gambling if we went to an ortho who only saw about 10 kids a month. I have high hopes for success with the Doc band and I am eager to get started. If the original Hanger band fit right we would be almost done right now.
