Maybe Maury Povich would be the person to start with in getting the word out there. Just thought I would throw that in there. I am with you all!!!!!!!!!!

Not counting myself there are about 18 people between the older plagio and the plagio group that are willing to get involved. Dare I hope that someone might actually listen to us?

I think the key to getting a producer at one of these television showsto take notice is to present the story in their language. They aren'tinterested in bleeding heart or "woe is me" stories as much as theyare interested in a story that has tension and controversy.Fortunately, this story (our stories) DO have tension: it is themedical establishment inadvertently causing a medical condition whichthey then later say is unnecessary to treat; its parents vs insurance;and perhaps parents being taken in by pseudo-medical companies withdubious claims of success in their desperation to find a "cure" (notmy opinion, but it could be construed that way).I think the story is complex enough and controversial enough to be ofmore interest to 60 Minutes than Oprah or Maury. The format of thetalk shows might make it difficult to represent all sides of the issueto the audience.>[portion of post deleted]> This brings me to the reason for my post. I would love to make people aware also. I wrote our local news and had no response :-( Tell me where to write and I am in too.

Re: Making People Aware

I also think that is a great idea. Let us know if there is anything we can do. Getting this out to as many people as possible is so important. So many don't know of it until it's already happening.> >> [portion of post deleted]> > This brings me to the reason for my post. I'll let you know her response. We can also write Oprah at http://www2.oprah.com/tows/intheworks/tows_works_main.jhtml - click on "we want your show ideas" to submit. Re: Making People AwarePlagiocephalyDate: Wednesday, June 25, 2008, 12:37 AM

Sounds good to me. It doesn't matter who does the show, just that it's out in the publics eye. Ellen would be just as good as Oprah. If you could get a hold of him that would be great.

i think this idea is awsome and i would love to be included. i was also wondering maybe Ellen Degenrese would be willing to do on show on this. i have a number to a guy at her show so if you all think its sounds good i will try to get a hold of him.

We don't start until next week and I am on board. Even I am just learning the lingo etc. Heck, I always thought(and my sister told me the same thing) that the bands were helmets for kids who banged their heads too much.

I say the TODAY show and the View are good for these kinds of things. Lots of the correspondents on the Today show have recently had babies or are having them soon and I bet they'd be great ones to contact. Also, on the View has a young baby so she would be the one to contact there. Pulling on the heartstrings of the Mom's can get help us get the word out.

Count me in! has only had his DOC band a week and I feel likeI've gone through this explanation so much. It would be so nice tobring awareness to the issue. I have to admit, before this happenedwith , I knew nothing about plagio - not even the name. We needto spread the word.I would be happy to send out letters. Let me know what else I can do.
