wow. What a story. Glad that he got such great correction.

It's sad how some Orthotists are still somewhat uninformed about

plagio and how the bands work. The Hanger band can most

certainly correct ear asymmetry.... I don't understand why the

Orthotist at your local Hanger would have told you otherwise. My

Daughter wore a Hanger Band and her ears went from 8mm down to

1.5mm!

Anyway, congrats again on the great correction and also the fact that

your Ins covered it without too much of a fight.

Thanks. You ahve to keep in mind though that it depends on adjustment thus the particular orthotist too not just the band you use. Maybe she wasnt as good an orthotist and wasnt adjusting in a way that would see much ear correction. We actually considered that as probably more the issue and since she was the only orthotist at Hanger with band experience we also knew she would have no backup if she was sick or on vacation nor would she have someone she could go to for a 2nd opinion or help
