Guest guest
HI! SOrry you are not having as much support as you would like - I didn't either and it was hard! Did you post pics? If not, I'd love to see your babies head... also, have you been taking pica along the way to document the progress? That can really be a good tool for objectivity in correction. Will this be the 1st time seeing these drs? How will they know the severity before you started repo? Did your ped take measurements? Or are you taking in pictures? Jen and Luli - 29 months Left tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jens5th/ 2 1/2 months of repositioning and finally our appointment with the doctor! Hi I posted back in March when my son was just turning 3 months, his head is flattened and uneven, more so on the right side. Our Pediatrician made us an appointment with Sick Kids (as we live outside of Toronto, Canada) but not until he was over 6 months - she said they wont assess a baby any younger??? We were told to do as much repositioning as possible and that's exactly what I've done - its been just crazy. My husband is so worried about putting a helmut on him. He thinks he's improved enough and we should stop worrying about his head. My mother and sister were really concerned when I showed them his head over 2 months ago but now because they see "some" improvement they want me to wait another few months see how much more improvement we can get. No one wants me to put a helmut on him - in fact I've been forbidden to bring up the subject. I have noggin' nest and memory foam all the house not to mention all the tummy time mats, toys etc ZERO pressure on the back of the head I was told! My husband is coming with us to the appointment but he's not behind me on this....also I've told my husband that I'm not even sure I want the helmut from Sick Kids and we may have to drive over US border to get the best one. I'll certainly talk to the doctor and see what they think before I get ahead of myself. Wish us luck and hey I really hope my husband and family are all correct that he has improved significantly.....but I don't see it. I'll certainly post next week to let you know how it went. This group has been a wonderful source of support and information for me - really made a big difference to us. Thanks Stay informed, get connected and more with AOL on your phone. Guest guest
Hi, I have been taking pictures non stop and from all angles - I will post some - love to hear what others think of Cal's head shape. My pediatrician just looked at his head and agreed with me that it was flat and uneven. I questioned Sick Kids not seeing him until he was 6 months but she said that is just the way they do it? When Sick Kids called me to confirm my appt in 2 months time I let them know how unhappy I was about it...oh well we're going in a few days. I did post some pics a couple of months ago in the Repo file but I don't see them - I must not have done it properly. I'll try again now. Thanks everyone!
