I think the band can look very cute with stickers, so if you're

worried about the paint I would just do that.

I haven't heard of anyone being allergic to acrylic paint, but I would

imagine it is possible. There's probably a way to test it out before

you paint the helmet itself, maybe paint a layer on a paper plate and

let him play with it a little to see what happens? I don't know, that

sounds funny, but I'm just trying to think of a way you can test it

first (like on a lot of skin care products etc that say to test it on

a small patch of skin first before slathering it all over the place -

and I use paper plates as my paint pallete when I decorate the band,

so it's the only thing I can think of this early in the morning).

Anyway, also, the paint isn't permanent. It peels right off, so if you

did paint it and there was a problem, you could just peel it off. But

I would first start with trying to test his reaction to it first

before painting it. And if does have a reaction, stickers can look

really cute by themselves.

Good luck!

My daughter has extremely sensitive skin and eczema - we've had no problems witht the paint. Once the mod podge dries, there are no fumes at all. Just be careful not to paint the foam. Re: allergic to the paint

Hi ,

I am from San Diego too, it is nice to know there are others around

town in helmets :-) Dylan gets his helmet on Thrusday, we are nervous

but are hoping for the best. Ours too will come already colored but I

plan on decorating it with stickers. Where in San Diego do you live?

What is your child's story? Also I found a website that sells cute

shirts that say " Cranial King " & " Don't mind me, I'm just rounding

out my head " I plan on buying a couple of those so people know why he

is wearing the helmet. Here is the link to that website.

Hi !

I would highly recommend checking out:

http://www.lazardo.com/

a is in SoCal and did a WONDERFUL job with my son's helmet.

My son also has very sensitive skin but has had no issues with the non-

toxic paints used. We are also very concerned parents and with the

research we did, there's no harm in using acrylic paints.

Everywhere we go, my son gets so much attention! He LOVES it!

I had the helmet painted by a professional because 1) it's therapy for

me because I hated the " looks " ; 2)I tried painting it myself and it was

a mess! 3) I would rather spend the time with my son than deal with

painting his helmet 4) after pricing out the cost, a was cheaper

than the amount of suppiles and di-cuts we needed to paint the helmet.

To see the helmet, look under " Our Babies K " for Keegan / 5 months / R
