Guest guest
Thank you all so much for your advice and sharing your experience with me. We finally decided on CT, Paramus. After we made the decision, I was very eager to start the treatment for them right away as we've already wasted so much time. According to Darren CT, Paramus, I have to schedule my appointment with them through in their Arizona office. I've been trying to call her since yesterday. All I got was her voicemail. Today I left 2 voice messages for her. She hasn't got back to me. I just thought it's a little weird. Maybe she's just too busy if she has to handle the scheduling for all their branch offices. When we went for our free consultation, Anastasia (CT Patient Liaison) explained to us about the payment plans. She told us that if we pay everything up front, we can get the twin discount of $2500 for each helmet. 2 days later, called to inform us about our insurance situation. We asked her about the twin discount. She said that we would need to pay the full amount ($3600 x 2) up front to start the treatment. After they make sure that we get no money back from our insurance company, then they will write a check to reimburse us at the end. Has anyone paid for the DOC band out of pocket? Guest guest
Hi , We just got our band from CT Paramus on Tue. According to Anastasia she and do the same thing and all their communications are shared with each other, so call her. Call Darren again if you don't hear from . She has always gotten right back to me so maybe something is up? We paid for the band out of pocket (for now). Our ins co (CIGNA) told that it was specifically excluded (told us and our bene's manager that it was covered if medically nec), so we paid upfront (got the discount - single discount to $3300). It must be different b/c they already have a "no" from the ins co and it is up to us to fight with the co. Guest guest
We had to pay for the docband out of pocket. I have Cigna and they have yet to approve the equipment. The cost was $3300 if we were to make payments but we elected to pay it all upfront and save $300 so our total cost was $3000. I was able to get reimbursed through my flex plan though. I am still going through the appeals process with Cigna. Its a long process. Tomorrow my son will have been in the band for 7wks. If possible, I would move forward with banding the boys, if you can. I don't get why they would wait to see if insurance would cover any of it to give you the discount. I would push that issue. More often than not insurance companies take forever to get back to you. Don't lose any more precious time on this. Good luck and God bless. Guest guest
We paid out of pocket I believe 3000$ up front. We paid on a credit card to get the airline miles! I found that I could make a casting appointment directly through Darren. Call back and ask him to contact for you. Once she did not get back to me when she was out sick but other than that it was fine communication wise. I would also go with Purvi for the casting, she has the most experiece. She is also great with the fittings. Guest guest
I was able to make my appointments with CT Charlotte directly through them, I didn't have to call AZ, so not sure what is different about Paramus. I also didn't realize how the twin discount worked. Hopefully someone else with twins will chime in. We did pay up front (with the $300 discount, you should get $600 off I think for 2) and had to file our own claim because CT was out of network for us (but we still had out of network coverage so did get reimbursed by our insurance; it only took about 2-3 weeks for our claim to go through; I think we were lucky). The good news is that Paramus is setting up their DSi this week (if it's not already up and running), so if you get an appointment for next week, there will be no casting! Just a split second photo and you're done! Times 2 of course! Keep us posted!
