Hi everyone, my daughter just got her starband helmet. We are using the

weaning into it schedule. But even if she just has it on for an hour,

her head is just sweating, and is soaking wet when we take it off.

It's only about 60 degrees here, and she is just dressed in a onesie.

Does the sweating go away? Worried about when it gets really hot

here. Also what do you do when you take your daughter in the sun? Do

you really put a hat on top of the helmet??!? I think that would be

really hot, beside looking really funny:)

The sweating does get better, their body just has to adjust to the

extra heat first. My son was pretty sweaty for a little over a week at

the beginning, now he's only sweaty when he exerts himself a lot (he's

walking and running and plays hard) and/or when he's outside on hotter

days (we're in NC). When he's outside, I just use sunscreen on his

head. I put it on in the morning before we leave the house, and let it

dry for about 10 minutes before putting the helmet back on. He has a

lot of hair, but I just spray his head with the aerosol sun screen,

then rub it in. His hair then looks greasy for the rest of the day,

but it keeps him from burning, so I don't mind.

Good luck!
