Correct. This will be my first time visiting Scope. I will call and make the CT appt for next week sometime and cancel if necessary. This is sooooo stressful and confusing. Bottom line, I just want to do what is best for Bryce. The Starband is a heavier band with a smaller hole space on the top...right?

Re: last question...doc band or starband ?

Don't worry, we'll still let you ask more questions, especially onceyou get the band :-)I already gave my opinion, so I'll try to make this the shortversion... I think Bryce has a complex head shape (multiple problemsrather than a single flat spot or "textbook" plagio). Therefore Ithink Cranial Tech is your best bet. If the scope ortho is superexperienced it might be okay, but I think that you're more likely toget the best results with a docband. We didn't have a docband, but ihave met a few people from CT, and also talked to a lot of docbands moms.If you aren't sure about it, postpone the CT appointment, see what youthink of scope and then decide (this will be your first time visitingscope, right?). That might make the decision easier.-christinesydney 2 yrs starband grad>> First of all, I am so glad that I joined this group. You all have been > sooooooooooo very helpful. Bryce is 5 months. Please read my new post titled " what to do"..

Re: last question...doc band or starband ?

Hi again-I also responded to your previous post, and please do not worry about "hogging" the board. We're here to help! I just wanted to say that I was like you a few months ago. I was so anxious to get my son banded that I had an appointment for the casting at StarBand directly after our consult with the cranial facial surgeon. But then I realized that even though I was running against the clock (my son was already 16 months old and I didn't want to waste any more time), I had to take a step back and say, wait a minute, I need to take my time here, ask the right questions, get a feel for both places and see how I feel afterwards. Ultimately, a week wasn't going to make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things, and I was glad I took my time because I ended up going to Cranial Tech instead. I believe you've already been to CT but this is your first time going to Scope, right? How old

is Bryce? I think I would postpone the appointment at CT until at least Monday. That way you have the weekend to think about it and will be able to make an informed decision, rather than rushing from one appointment to the next. Your head will probably be spinning! A couple extra days won't make a difference, and hopefully you'll be able to say later that you were happy with your decision (whichever way you go) and you were glad you didn't rush into it. Please let us know what you decide!Jake-20m (tort resolved/rt plagio/DOCband 12 weeks)Jordan-4>> First of all, I am so glad that I joined this group. You all have been > sooooooooooo very helpful.
