Hanger VS Scope VS carnial Tech

who are you all using? Are you happy? Pros/Cons to each company...

I don't think that BCBS is going to cover my sons band and I don't know

what to do. I have an appt on Friday at CT. I am going to call Scope

and Hanger in the AM and try to get in ASAP. I thought taht I would be

able to fight the insurance and now I logged on and saw the large list

of providers. What to do.........

CT does only banding, so their staff is very well trained. They seem

to be consistently good, but due to limited locations they are not an

option for everyone. Some people do travel quite far to go to them.

Hanger and Starband can be good in the right hands, but the orthos

using them vary widely in terms of skill and experience. Some orthos

specialize in banding, others don't. I think the products are similar,

but lately it seems I've been seeing more posts about bad hanger

bands. I've been seeing positive ones too, but you really need to

check out the ortho you will be going to. We were in northern CA and

went to a very good starband ortho. I was lucky because I didn't do my

homework before we got started. (they actually told me about this group).

If you have a CT close by that would be my first choice. I say this

because I looked at Bryce's pictures and I think his head shape is

complex. I think you will see the best results with them.
