Last night a friend of mine was sharing her experience with a prolonged dose of antibiotics. She had poison ivy that went into her blood (?) and needed to get on a long dose of antibiotics. Well she just finished up a 2 week course and said she has NEVER felt better. She and I have been battling our health issues together for nearly 2 years. She believes she had some sort of bacterial/viral infection for years that has never been detected or treated. She now says she is full of energy, is happy, and gets up out of bed before the alarm without any problem. She's been battling depression, fatigue and stress for years. She then told me about the doctor you mentioned and how he believes alot of us are battling bacterial infections that would be cleared with a prolonged dose of tetracycline. I tried to google it but couldn't find anything on it and tonight you post about it! By the way, my friend has amalgams in her mouth that she has not removed. Time will tell if she is " cured " but she is urging me to get on antibiotics as she is amazed at the results for her. By the way, her chiro advised her to eat alot of yogurt while she was taking the antibiotics. He said probiotics were too strong for the antibiotics or something like that. Interestingly, Dr. Rind suggested I was battling some sort of infection as well. However, I've never been tested for any infections. Guest guest
IMO ONLY From what i have read and been experiencing, I believe i have like you and many on this board both mercury and lyme related or Cell wall deficient bacterial/parasitic infection which I am now treating quite successfully with a protocol that is almost very close to www.roadback.org ; I have seen a lot of improvements even in a month on this new protocol (unfortunately a lot of herxing too due to I believe bug die off). IMO and from what I have read some of us have the genetic makeup to be subject to these bugs for a lack of a better word and these bugs lead to parasites and viral infections being more prevalent, even without adding mercury to the mix This protocol says many antibiotics in heavy doses just kill one type of bug and in effect create many other types of other resistant bugs (this specfic protocol i am on is low doe and pulsing -every two days).its similiar to Brown's treatment I have been asked not to discuss it which is too bad. It is written about as a lyme treatment in Rosner's book on effective lyme treatments I truly feel it (new pusling antibiotic protocol) is taking me to another level of health that the mercury chelating alone could not due, even though i am so much better on 9 months of chelating. I continuous chealte on dmps just cause i feel better..am currently on 40 mgs on dmps every 3-4 hrs and 50 mgs ALA every 3 hrs (when i do a 3-4 day sequence of ALA) so I guess to summarize, mercury and bugs go together; but I think for some of us unfortunately, more than chelating is needed to get to these cell wall deficient bacteria or mycoplasmic infections MY Background A. Mercury I had 20+ years of weekly injections along with mult mercury fillings which were leaking due to being 30+ years old. I had one break and was filled with toxic root canal in December 06. I was a diet coke addict for probably 15 years (30-46 years old) and believe I became a Diet coke addict as my adrenals started to burn out in early 30's due to mercury and some sort of lyme/mycoplasm infection. About my early 30's I became more reclusive, nerves bothering me, more introverted mid 40's health went off a cliff due to I believe both mercury and lyme or related infection had two periods about 5 years apart 1990-1991; 1998 whwer i was very depressed and night sweats which one lyme dr told me was a pattern with babesia; it would lie dormant until you were very stressed out and then would attack, whcih i really think happened to me B. Lyme or co-infection Commencement First off I grew up in tick infested area of Canada. Had probably 10- 15 tick bites a year from age of baby to my mid 20's when i moved away. So in about 1987 in Tonronto I had gone camping and swimming in Lake and 3 days later came down with almost disabling flue..severe aches in legs could hardly walk.lasted about 6 weeks and ever after this point my nerves were shot so to speak, so I am pretty confident bugs were tipping point Fast forward to SF 15+ years later. I became much more reclusive but functional until I had 2-3 tick bites on the head while in Canada on our ranch (August 2004). 3 months later (November 2004) i lost my hearing in my right ear. 3 months later (February 2005) I had what I believe was a brown recluse spider bite and it swelled up like a golf ball (evidence of lyme) I had a clinical diagnosis of lymes (had i think 5 bands but need 6 for disgnosis per dopey Goverment rules) Then basically 3 years of bad protocols which made things worse (excessive antibiotcs, chorella/cilantro/no salt for a year; lots of sulphur food and supps; etc etc..so the fact that i am feeling pretty good (able to start a new business) and go on vacations after 9 months of chelaton is amazing; but cannot do a lot of physical stuff like bike riding yet) Last 4 years was severely poor health, was suicidal for much of 2007 before finding AI > > Hi all, > > As an update/reminder, I've done ~70 rounds on Andy's protocol > since December 05.
