====Kai: Have you done a hair test for an indication of your arsenic levels?

My arsenic was also rather elevated on my hairtest.

In DeanSA's interpretation of my hairtest , he wrote the

following about arsenic sources.

Any look familiar to you?

Arsenic (As) Accurately reflects body burden. (blood, stool & urine tests

only accurate for acute/recent exposure). The body clears some of its

arsenic with methylation (using B12; Folic acid & TMG)

TIP: Consider Vit B12 (several mg's); Folic acid (400-1200mg. with meals and

at bed); TMG (500-2000mg early in day). Some people become agitated/angry if

they have too many methylating agents (so supplement to tolerance) [HTI pg.

240]

Test your Homocysteine levels to see how well you are methylating.

Common Arsenic Symptoms: Most common symptom is peripheral neuropathy

(numbness, often of lips; tingling; pins & needles; feet or hand pain;

weakness in legs affecting standing plus non-specific metal-symptoms:

headaches; fatigue; insomnia, drowsiness; vertigo; listlessness; malaise;

cognitive decline and aches and pains; Gillian-Barre type symptoms);

Diminished tendon reflexes; Skin problems like warts are common with

arsenic.

Common Arsenic Sources: Green treated wood; ant traps; animal feed

(therefore many meats) esp. chicken; pottery; cereal.

Other common sources (Dr ): pesticides; carpet and furniture 'treated'

for stain resistance; wallpaper

Chelated with: ALA is best.
