Guest guest
Teeth issues existed for both of my kids. For NT, celiac daughter, her teeth came in late (sign of ricketts) and there was some enamel erosion. When we went off the fluoridated nursery water and went GFCF they sort of rusted out...seriously, we saw brown liquid around the edges of the teeth for a bit...two weeks. It was creepy. We did address her D deficiency with CLO and eventually her teeth " beefed up " a bit. We were on unfluoridated baby toothpaste but she was too into it, wanted to brush the teeth too often so I figured there was something bad in it as there usually is when she craves something. We switched to spry toothpaste, with xylitol. A mom on the board told me some folks remineralize teeth with it and it is fluoride-free. We have been using it a while and in daughter I see the teeth seem more beefed up even and they look, well, polished. Mine look a whole lot better including the fluorisis. As for my son, the speech kid, I can't say. He has a history of bleeding gums, mouth sensitivity, teeth-grinding, and he had a rust out period also. All of that improved before this toothpaste. I am not sure I see any difference but I can say they are no worse off. He is younger so it may take more time. I can't say. Just passing along the info.
