Guest guest
Lori, We use this product for our daughter who still responds with seizures to gluten and casein. She is ok on it so I would say no g/c in this product. > > Hi Everyone, > I just purchased Unique E for my son after reading many > recommendations from people on this list. Guest guest
, You're probably right! Ha! It contains: d-gamma tocopherol d-alpha tocopherol d-delta tocopherol d-beta tocopherol It says on the bottle, " All natural Vitamin E complex, NOT the dl synthetic chemical form, NOT the Esterifid Tocopherly Acetate (or Succinate), NOT the ordinary Soy Oil diluted mixed tocopherols or adulterated forms......Each pure bovine gelatin softgel capsule contains all natural unesterified natural vitamin E ……No oil filler additives which can turn rancid....No allergy causing preservatives, colors or flavorings. " So does anyone know what this means? Guest guest
You could write the company if you want to be sure of content, asking specifically about wheat or whatever your concern is. They have no reason not to tell you. Explain child is wheat intolerant, etc. > >
Hi Everyone,
> > I just purchased Unique E for my son after reading many
> > recommendations from people on this list. Guest guest
We've been using Unique E for about 6 months with great results in speech, gate, attention, etc. Yes, it is casein/gluten free, SCD legal. I think the vitamin E is from soy (it's definitely not from wheat), but the soy has been completely filtered out. So there is absolutely no residual oil and even my NT child who is severely allergic to wheat, soy, dairy, and all nut oils can use it. I keep it in the refrigerator cause the capsules melt easily. They do use bovine gelatin so it isn't vegan. We're pretty paranoid about beef products but the gelatin comes from skin which is safe, unlike your typical burger (meat/fat/spinal cord) Sheri W > > Hi Everyone, > I just purchased Unique E for my son after reading many > recommendations from people on this list. Guest guest
We have started Omega 3-6-9 which has vitamin E and stopped taking the regular multivitamin because it has E in it as well. I know high doses of vitamin A can be toxic but is the same true of E? ssheibani <ssheibani@...> wrote: We've been using Unique E for about 6 months with great results in speech, gate, attention, etc. Yes, it is casein/gluten free, SCD legal. Guest guest
We're out of town seeing another specialist for my ASD/DD 5 yr old so I can't check emails often. But I think the Nordic Natural 3-6-9 only has alpha tocopherol which is really just to preserve the fish oil. This keeps the fish oil fresh which is what you want but I'm not sure about the anti-oxidant effect of that vitamin E. Vit E should be in a mixed natural tocopherol form (alpha, beta, gamma, etc). Vitamin E toxicity is more like vitamin C toxicity. Even though it's supposed to be fat solluble it doesn't accumulate like vit A, D, and K. So you know you've had too much when you get diarrhea or gi upset. This is true for the natural vit E's. I don't know about the toxicity of synthetic vit E since it can act very different in the body and it should never be used as a antioxidant supplement. We use about 1200iu of vit E per day for my 40lb daughter with no side effects. At 1600iu she gets loose stools. Guest guest
Hi, I just purchased Unique E from the A.C.Grace co. for the first time. The store was out of the regular vitamin e I usually buy. When I opened the bottle it had a very strong fishy smell. Is this normal for the product? Vitamin E usually does not have a bad smell. Thanks Donna --------------------------------- Never Miss an Email Stay connected with on your mobile. Get started!
Guest guest
Hi Donna - I just stuck my nose in my Unique E bottle and it has a fishy smell as well. I'm going to send an email to the company and find out if this is normal. - > > Hi, > I just purchased Unique E from the A.C.Grace co. for the first time.
