sorry to jump in here....

Christy, if you still have the book, I'd be interested in picking it

up. I need all the help I can get to fight the yeast beast! I live

in the East Bay.

Thanks,

Anissa

Since I wrote this out for a friend I figured I'd post it. This book

removes in stages so you get a real idea of what really must be gone

versus not. There are recipes so you are not left hanging.

Removal Stages are as follows:

Stage 1A: Barley malt and all malt products including maltodextrin.

Vinegar, chocolate, pickles, pickled food, romatoes, pickled peppers,

alcohol, aged cheese, soy sauce, Worsesterrshire sauce, conseed

oil/products.

Stage 1B:

nuts

apples

grapes

coffee

processed meats

Stage 2:

Baked goods with yeast

corn and rye

dried fruits and raisins

msg and aspartame

maple syrup and bananas

cut back on meat and fish

spices

mushrooms

soda and buttermilk

all cooking oil except saffloer, olive and canola (I do not

understand why not coconut oil allowed???)

sugar

margarine

Stage 3: milk and gluten

Stage 4: melons, grapefruits, oranges, all meat except veal and

lamb....occasional antibiotic turkey and chicken allowed, fruits

except fresh in season, fish, eggs (if necessary)

By my calculations we are on stage four except must challenge apples,

bananas, figure ou the oil issue and the meat. We may be too far gone

on some things and not far enough on others. If I had fed these kids

the typical American diet we may have had so much more to deal with.

There is a Children and Candida group that is just starting and

does not have a ton of members and doesn't seem to be very active. I

joined and hope to get more active in it because there seems to be a

big need for help in this area! I, too, have this book, along with

another candida book that I like better.
