Guest guest
I have a 2 1/2 year old Autistic son that is not receiving the services he needs to be successful and make sufficient progress. He has waited for 5 months to receive Occupational Therapy and was only allowed one day a week although his Developmental Pediatrician, our regular Pediatrician and his Pediatric Neurologist recommended 2-3 sessions a week. His therapists & doctors have maintained from the start in May 07 that he needed Occupational Therapy because his lack of it affects his progress in everything else. He finally has a wonderful Occupational Therapist that is willing to makeup all (17 if one day a week or 34 for two days a week) of the sessions that he missed while waiting and they're refusing to allow him anymore than 4 makeup visits. Does this seem right? Anybody else having the same kind of problems? I hear there are several kids just in the Brick, Point Pleasant area that are having the same problems. Please feel free to contact me because I am not getting an adequate response from our service coordinator or her supervisor. I know if its more than one mom complaining they'll have no choice but to take notice. Our kids are being left behind and its not okay!!!!!!!! Thanks,
