Guest guest
I have a 4-year-old little girl with special needs. We are considering relocating to the Winston-Salem/Greensboro area of North Carolina but have to be certain that our daughter will have all the services she requires available to her while. At present she receives PT, OT, speech, behavior, and cognitive therapies and attends a preschool for special needs children. We will also need a facility with a great cardiologist, geneticist, neurologist, and orthopedist. And, of course, one of my biggest concerns would be the school system and what they will provide her with regard to an educational setting...not sure if she will be integrated into regular class setting next year as she uses a walker for ambulation, is nonverbal, and has mild MR. I was also wondering if anyone had information about other resources for her like ARC, MedWaiver, Medicaid, Teffra, and anything else you know of that would beneficial. I thank you in advance for taking the time to respond. Sincerely, Annette (mom to Lexie, -1p36.3)
