I always tell panicked moms that potty training is overrated. Now

you have to remind the kid to pee before you go out -- for about a

year, it seems! -- and you need to know where all the bathrooms are

in every darn store. My daughter used to use the potty as a tool to

leave church when she was bored. Anyway, I think everybody is just

trying to be helpful. Relax!

For others: my dyspraxic son didn't train for BM's until we resolved

the loose stool problem with enzymes, so when you are trying really

hard and it's not happening, there may be a medical issue of some

kind behind it.
