Dear Dr. Dawson (Chief Science Officer at Autism Speaks),I am the founder and director of Stop Calling It Autism! (SCIA). SCIA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to solving the autism puzzle and providing effective treatments that target the root cause of this medical illness. We have published a medical research article that solves the autism puzzle. We also discovered a medical treatment that addresses the root cause of autism and possibly many other mental illnesses. Below are two videos of a child that suffered from severe

autism and now is completely cured by treating the root cause of what was causing his autistic symptoms. There are now over 40 doctors using this treatment in hundreds of children worldwide and the treatment is showing to be very promising. We understand the root cause of autism and how almost every single medical and physical symptom in autism are related to the same root cause which is the activation of the brain’s immune system (microglial activation). You can read all the details in our medical research article. We submitted the evaluation of the treatment protocol to target microglial activation as an idea to Autism Speaks through the MyResearch Idea Campaign back in February 2012 and it was ignored by Autism Speaks even though our idea for a treatment to address microglial activation finished in first place. We also submitted a grant request through the Autism Speaks’ TrailBlazer grant program and it was also rejected. In the article published today (Brain Scans Show Differences in Adults With Autism) in which scientists found evidence of microglial activation in adults with autism you asked “Is microglial activation something that could help us explain the causes of autism?†The answer is microglial activation is the root cause of autism, you can cure autism by treating the microglia. You have to understand and we have been telling Autism Speaks for almost a year now that microglial activation is the root cause of autism and other mental illnesses according to world renown scientists including the Nobel Prize Winning, Dr. Cappecchi and Dr. Fields (Chief of the Nervous System Development and Plasticity Section at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development). Now that you have been informed several times by SCIA and thousands of parents that donate money to your organization about the root cause and potential treatments for autism. Are you going to help us fund using the money they donated the clinical trial for which you have rejected our two requests just in the past 10 months? This treatment has the potential of curing autism

permanently. Autism Speaks is denying millions of families the opportunity to see their loves ones live a productive life by not funding our clinical trial. Can you tell the millions of parents with children with autism that you will deny them of the hope to watch their children live a better life or even be completely cured from autism like the child in the videos below? The child in the videos below wasn’t cured by coincidence, there is evidence based science behind it. We are sending this communication to thousands of parents which donate money to Autism Speak so

they are aware of this situation. We hope you can wisely use the money that parents donate with the hopes you can help find a cure for autism. In the article published today you were quoted saying “I still feel the progress is far too slowâ€. This is your chance to change that. Contact us if you really are interested in helping all these families to target the root cause of their children’s autism. Also, feel free to read all the information we have published about microglial activation and how it is the root cause of autism in our website. www.stopcallingitautism.org with autismhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbEeNJgaIQQ cured from autism by addressing microglial activation

was interviewed - Brain Scans Show Differences in Adults With AutismPublished: Thursday, November 29, 2012http://news.health.com/2012/11/29/brain-scans-show-differences-in-adults-with-autism/“The PET images indicated excessive activation of microglia in multiple brain regions among those with autism when compared to a group of people without the disorder.â€â€œIt’s been amazing to see not only the number of new scientists that are beginning to devote their careers to autism research, but also the quality of scientists,â€

Dawson said. “But despite the fact that we’re excited and encouraged by the numbers of publications increasing, we still feel the progress is far too slow.†Medical Research Article which explains the root cause for autism: Evidence of microglial activation in autism and its possible role in brain underconnectivityPublished in the Neuron Glia Biology Journal in July 6, 2012http://dx.doi.org/10.1017/S1740925X12000142 Letter to Autism Speaks for Grant Request For a Clinical Trial for a treatment to address microglial activationhttps://stopcallingitautism.org/content/pdf/SCIA-AS%20letter.pdf Evaluation of the SCIA Treatment Protocol in Children with ASD (Autism Speaks MyResearch Idea contest in which the idea for a treatment to address microglial activation was rejected by Autism Speaks)http://autismspeaks.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Evaluation-of-the-SCIA-Treatment-Protocol-in-Children-with-ASD/94485-15895 Rejection letter for our microglial activation treatment idea by Autism Speakshttps://stopcallingitautism.org/content/pdf/LetterFromAutismSpeaksRejectingMicroglialActivationTreatmentIdea.pdf Letter from Joan L.
