Question about Methyl-Mate Methylcobalamin B12

We've used Methyl-Mate Methylcobalamin B12 on our son but noticed that the

effects are positive for about 1-2 weeks and then stop. Can anyone explain what

this is ? If he goes off it for months and then we re-introduce the same thing

else happen. Any suggestions.
