What are the signs of improvements if Valtrex treatment works?

Yes, it's normal to see an increase because you're bringing the virus out of stealth mode, but I would venture to say the dose is too low. My son was approximately 38 pounds when he started taking 1500/mg per day. I'm not a doctor but you should probably talk to one about increasing. Too low a dose will generally not do enough and can potentially cause more issues than it helps.Take a look at the link antiviral 101 link in my sig. It'll answer most of your questions.

Hi Group,

My 8 year old daughter has been taking Valtrex 1000mg a day in the past 4 four months. We haven't noticed any improvement in behaviours, communication and language.

Her CMV IgG has decreased from 11.4 to 8.3 but her HHV 6 IgG has INCREASED from 6.1 before the treatment to 34.9 few weeks ago! Has anyone experienced the same thing? Why increase in IgG from Valtrex treatment?

What are the signs and symptoms of virus infection in children with autism? What are the signs of improvements if Valtrex treatment works?

Please comments and share your experiences.
