Antibiotics effects -- Cefdinir

Can anyone speak to the effect that antibiotics could have on our

apraxic children? My son has had a severe double ear infection and

because he couldn't fight it off on his own, was put on Cefdinir for 10

days. It warned against taking iron or other metal products within 2

hours of taking medicine. Since he has been taking this he has hit a

big wall. His speech, behavior, and auditory issues seem to

intensify. Can anyone speak to this issue? Is there any link maybe

related to a toxin overload in his system? If so, what metal is in it?
